About Greensboro College

Greensboro College, or GC for short, is a four year, independent, coeducational institution located in Greensboro, which is the 3rd largest city by population, in the US state of North Carolina, and the largest city in Guilford County and the surrounding Piedmont Triad metropolitan region, having a population estimated at a number of more than 260 000 inhabitants, according to the 2010 census.

The college was established in 1838 and it is one of the oldest institutions of higher education for women in the United States. It currently offers its students `39 majors and more than 1,000 different courses`, including `undergraduate degrees in the following four programs: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Music Education, and Bachelor of Science.`

Athletics

GC's athletic teams are known as The Pride and they compete at the NCAA Division III level, in 16 intercollegiate men's and women's sports.
